COMMENTS:

Brucellosis

- Vaccinate only the calves by veterinarian accredited or approved applicator. For ease management, it is suggested to apply at weaning.
Anthrax
The annual vaccinations are only where the disease occurs. (RS).
Clostridial (Clostridium perfringens)
- Use symptomatic multivalent vaccine against anthrax, gas gangrene and hemoglobinuria, bacilli. For ease of management, indicates the application at weaning.
Botulism
- Vaccinate annually in regions where there is the problem and in any place where the animals are confined.
IBR / BVD
- Vaccinate when the diseases are diagnosed or when introducing cattle from areas where they occur.
Leptospirosis
- In regions where there are abortions by the disease, vaccinate females before the mount season. Often this vaccine is associated with the IBRV / BVD.
Colibacillosis e Salmonellosis
- In the disease areas. Vaccinate cow 30 days before delivery and calves at 15 days of age.
Rabies
- In areas where there is the problem, vaccinate the animals once a year in the months indicated. In the first vaccination, repeat the dose after 30 days.
Tetanus
- In places where occurs, proceed with two applications with 30 days interval, 30 days before castration.
TPB (babeslosis e anaplasmosis)
- Vaccinate calves prior to weaning, on 3-4 months, against withdrawal times (DWT) in situations of instability of their occurrence. also vaccinate the imported cattle from free regions or areas with instability of the disease occurrence.

* Valid for all Brazil territory as date’s suggestion, which should be adjusted,
or confirmed by vets who know the property.

CHANGE IN THE VACCINATION OF FOOT-AND-MOUTH
DISEASE (FDM)

The Servi reports that there were changes in the timing of the vaccination campaign against FMD.
The move was determined by the “Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento” - Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply - (map) in order to unify the timing of vaccination in the.
With this, the first stage of the campaign, which is dedicated to the flock with up to 24 months of age, will be realized in May. The second phase, which covers all cattle and buffalo, regardless of age, will be in November.

AM
-- The periods of vaccination range from June 15 to July 15 and November 15 to December 15.

MS and MT
-- In the region of Pantanal the vaccination is annual and can be made in May or November. But once chosen the month, it should be maintained.

PB and PE
-- The periods of vaccination range from March 15 to April 15 and September 15 to October 15.

RO
-- The periods of vaccination range from April 15 to May 15 and October 15 to November 15.
